PROVIDING 24/7 LOCAL VEHICLE RECOVERY ACROSS THE TAMESIDE AREA 

Tameside Recovery provides a 24-hour accident and breakdown recovery service for vehicles weighing up to 1,000kg within the Tameside area.

We specialise in:

• Accident recoveries

• Non-fault and insurance-related recoveries

• Vehicle transportation to approved repairers

• Temporary vehicle storage at PT Autos

• Liaising directly with insurance companies to ensure a smooth repair handover

Our aim is to make the recovery process as simple and stress-free as possible for customers.

• Coverage is limited to the Tameside area only  

• Recoveries outside this area may be declined or quoted separately  

• Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to availability  

• We recover vehicles up to a maximum weight of 1,000kg  

• Vehicles exceeding this limit may not be accepted  

• Customers must provide accurate vehicle details when requesting recovery  

Where a vehicle is involved in an accident and covered by insurance:

• Tameside Recovery will collect and transport the vehicle safely  

• Vehicles may be stored temporarily at PT Autos, Dukinfield  

• We will liaise directly with your insurance company to:

- Confirm recovery authorisation  

- Arrange inspection where required  

- Coordinate transfer to an approved repair garage  

• All reasonable recovery and storage costs will be recovered directly from the insurance provider  

We aim to ensure a smooth and efficient transition from recovery to repair with minimal disruption to the customer.

• Vehicles may be securely stored at PT Autos until:

- Released to an insurer-approved repairer, or  

- Collected by the customer (if uninsured or instructed otherwise)  

• Storage duration depends on insurance authorisation or customer instructions  

• Storage charges may apply and will be recovered from insurers where applicable  

If the vehicle is not covered by insurance, or insurance does not approve the recovery:

• The customer is fully responsible for all costs, including:

- Recovery fees  

- Storage charges  

- Administration or handling fees  

• Payment terms will be explained at or before the time of recovery  

• Vehicles will not be released until all outstanding balances are paid in full 

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate vehicle and incident information  

• Confirming whether insurance cover is in place  

• Supplying insurer details where applicable  

• Authorising Tameside Recovery to liaise with insurers  

• Removing personal belongings promptly  

Tameside Recovery is not responsible for personal items left inside vehicles.

• Vehicles are recovered and stored with reasonable care and professionalism  

• Pre-existing damage is not the responsibility of Tameside Recovery  

• We are not liable for mechanical or electrical faults unrelated to the recovery process  

• Vehicles are handled strictly for recovery, storage, and authorised transfer purposes only  

Vehicles will only be released when:

• Insurance authorisation has been received, or  

• All outstanding charges have been paid in full  

Valid photo identification may be required before release.

Tameside Recovery reserves the right to refuse or cancel service where:

• Vehicle weight exceeds stated limits  

• Information provided is inaccurate or misleading  

• Recovery would be unsafe or impractical  

• Abusive or threatening behaviour is directed toward staff
